Our Waikiki snorkel tour takes guests just offshore along the beautiful coastline of Waikiki to one of the most well-known snorkeling locations on Oahu, Turtle Canyon. This offshore reef is famous for its underwater cleaning stations where Hawaiian green sea turtles gather while reef fish remove algae and parasites from their shells.
Because of this natural behavior, Turtle Canyon has become one of the most reliable places to see sea turtles while snorkeling on Oahu. Snorkelers often watch these incredible animals glide gracefully through the clear blue water before surfacing for air, creating unforgettable moments for guests both in the water and relaxing onboard the boat.
Our small-group Turtle Canyon snorkel tour is designed to create a more personal and enjoyable experience on the ocean. While our brand new 2025 tour boat is built to accommodate up to 49 passengers, we intentionally limit every snorkel tour to just 28 guests. Smaller groups create a more comfortable atmosphere onboard and allow our crew to guide guests more easily around the reef so you don’t miss any of the marine life.
In addition to sea turtles, the reefs surrounding Turtle Canyon are home to a wide variety of tropical marine life commonly seen while snorkeling in Waikiki. Guests often encounter colorful reef fish, moray eels, octopus hiding among the rocks, sea urchins, and occasionally spotted eagle rays gliding through deeper water. During Hawaii’s humpback whale season from December through March, whales can sometimes be seen breaching offshore while traveling along the Waikiki coastline.
When you feel satisfied with your time in the water, climb back onboard the boat to relax in the sun while enjoying beautiful views of Waikiki and Diamond Head with complimentary beverages provided for all guests.
Hawaiian green sea turtles, locally known as honu, are protected under both state and federal law. Guests are required to keep a minimum distance of 10 feet and may not touch, chase, or disturb the turtles. Observing these animals respectfully in their natural habitat helps protect them and ensures future generations can continue to experience Hawaii’s incredible marine life.

About The experience

Paid parking is available at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor, at 1651 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI, 96815. The pay machines work through a QR code that you will scan with your phone. Our boat will be located at the loading dock near the yellow parasail booth. See map location at the bottom of this page for additional directions.

We ask that you arrive to the loading dock 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time of departure. Out of respect to everyone onboard, we depart on time for every tour, so if you arrive after your scheduled time your ticket may be forfeited and nonrefundable. Please plan accordingly and arrive on time.

The ocean is generally calm near Waikiki, but conditions vary so we suggest that you consult your doctor about taking preventative measures if you are prone to motion sickness or are not accustomed to being on a boat in the ocean.

If we encounter unsafe weather conditions we will cancel our tour. In this event, guests will be notified via email, text, or call and will be eligible to reschedule

We have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your tour for any reason, please call or email us. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your tour, you must do so 24 hours before your tour time. After this time period we will not be able to issue a refund or a reschedule.

If you cancel your tour outside of our 24-hour cancellation policy, you are eligible for a full refund. If your ticket was purchased through a third party, we are not accountable for issuing refunds and you will have the option to rebook your trip. Please refer to the cancellation policy of the third party you booked through for more information.
